Coach Ariana Torres with our 4th - 6th volleyball grade athletes. A big shout out to Ariana and Tiffany, Ayla and Haisley for their volunteer work coaching our youngest group.
PAL volleyball for all ages is off for the Winter Break school closing and will return as follows:
- 4th - 6th: Monday, January 8th
- 7/8 Grade: Wednesday, January 3rd
- High School: Friday, January 12th
PAL volleyball begins on Monday, December 4th at 6pm for our 4th - 6th grade group. Registration is full.
Please bring your young athletes to Galloway Township Middle School (GTMS) a few minutes before 6pm, dressed and ready to begin training. The address for GTMS is 100 S. Reeds Road, Galloway, NJ and you pass two other schools before you get to GTMS at the very end of Reeds Road. The gym entrance is on the left side of the building as you are driving in.
Tee shirts, sweats or volleyball spandex (girls) and gym shoes are required. Knee pads are recommended; an example of the type of kneepad used for volleyball is below:

Jewelry is not allowed for safety reasons so have your kids leave their earrings, necklaces, watches, wrist bands, etc. at home. Also, have them bring a water bottle, there is a filling station outside the gym in the hallway. Other than water, no food or drink is allowed in the gym.
Drop your young athlete off in the GTMS gym a few minutes before 6pm and you can return to pick them up promptly at 7:15. They will play every Monday when the school is open until mid- March. We are off for Winter Break, MLK and Presidents Day and a schedule will be posted on the www.gallowaypal.org website at this location:
https://www.gallowaypal.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1350132
The format will be clinic-style with athletes being taught beginner-level fundamentals each week and then allowed some time to play where they can use the new skills that they have learned. We are sold-out at maximum capacity, so we will not be accepting any additional players. There is very little spectator room at GTMS, so if you are able to drop your athlete off and come back to get them promptly at 7:15, it would be appreciated.
The Head Coach for this age group is Ariana Torres, who is an Assistant Coach at Oakcrest HS and a player at ACCC. I will pitch in and assist Ariana as necessary. This is her 3rd year of working with this age group, and our 25th year of doing PAL Volleyball. If you scroll down this page, Ariana and I are pictured with some of last year's 4th - 6th grade group.
March 13, 2023We would like to thank all of our young athletes for another great year and to also thank Coach Ariana for doing such a great job. Thank you as well to Ranyah, Tiffany, Haisley and Tim for pitching in. Ariana, Tif, Raniyah and Haisley are alumnae from our PAL Volleyball program and now volunteer as coaches when they can. Ariana currently plays at ACCC and is a coach at Oakcrest and at East Coast Crush VBC. Tim has been a long-time coach at Pleasantville. Haisley and Raniyah are student athletes at Absegami and Oakcrest , respectively.
